Return and Refund Policy

At GruhStore, we stand behind every product we sell. If something is not right with your order, we will make it right — no hassle, no runaround. This policy explains exactly how returns, refunds, and exchanges work so you always know where you stand.

1. Our Return Promise

We offer a 7-day return window from the date of delivery. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you can return it within this period subject to the eligibility conditions below. We believe shopping should feel safe, and a clear return policy is the foundation of that trust.


2. Return Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Returned within 7 days of the delivery date
  • In its original, unused condition — unwashed, unassembled (where applicable), and unaltered
  • In its original packaging with all tags, labels, accessories, instruction manuals, and warranty cards intact
  • Accompanied by your original order number or proof of purchase
  • Not listed under our non-returnable items (see Section 7)

We reserve the right to reject returns that do not meet these conditions. If a return is rejected, we will contact you and offer to ship the item back to you at your cost.


3. How to Initiate a Return

Returning an item is straightforward. Follow these steps:

Step 1 — Contact us Email us at contactgruhstore@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with the following information:

  • Your order number
  • The item or items you wish to return
  • Your reason for return
  • Clear photographs of the product and its packaging

Step 2 — Wait for approval Our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days with either an approval and return instructions, or a request for additional information.

Step 3 — Pack and ship Once approved, securely pack the item in its original packaging. Use the return shipping label we provide or ship it to the address we confirm via email. Please do not return items without prior approval — unapproved returns cannot be processed.

Step 4 — Confirmation and refund Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you within 2 business days and process your refund or exchange accordingly.


4. Refund Process and Timing

Once your return is received and approved, here is how refunds work:

Refund method: Refunds are issued to your original payment method wherever possible.

COD refunds: If your original order was placed via Cash on Delivery, please provide your bank account details or UPI ID when raising your return request so we can process your refund without delay.

Please note:

  • Refund timelines above are from the date we approve your return, not the date you ship the item back
  • Bank processing times are outside our control and may vary slightly
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product
  • If you received free shipping on your original order and your refund brings the order value below our free shipping threshold, a shipping fee of ₹300 may be deducted from your refund

5. Exchanges

We are happy to exchange an item if you received the wrong size, colour, or variant, or if the product did not meet your expectations.

How to request an exchange: Follow the same steps as a return (Section 3) and mention in your email that you would like an exchange rather than a refund. Please include the details of the replacement item you would like.

Exchange conditions:

  • Exchanges are subject to product availability at the time of your request
  • If the replacement item is of a higher value, you will be asked to pay the difference
  • If the replacement item is of a lower value, the difference will be refunded to your original payment method
  • Each order is eligible for one exchange. Subsequent requests will be processed as a return and refund

If your preferred item is out of stock, we will offer you store credit or a full refund.


6. Damaged or Defective Products

We take quality seriously. If you receive a product that is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, we will resolve it immediately at no cost to you.

What counts as damaged or defective:

  • Product arrived physically broken, cracked, or dented due to transit
  • Product is not functioning as described despite correct use
  • Wrong product or variant was delivered
  • Product is missing parts or accessories listed in the description

What to do: Contact us at contactgruhstore@gmail.com within 1 day of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Photographs or a short video showing the damage or defect

What we will do:

  • We will respond within 2 business days with a resolution
  • At our discretion, we will offer a free replacement, a full refund including original shipping, or a partial refund if the product is still usable
  • We will arrange return pickup at our cost — you will not pay a rupee for return shipping on damaged or defective items
  • In cases where a return pickup is not feasible for your location, we may ask you to dispose of the item and process your refund or replacement directly

We do not require you to return a damaged or defective item in all cases — our priority is resolving your issue quickly.


7. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene, safety, and practical reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective:

  • Perishable goods such as food items, spices, or consumables
  • Personal hygiene products such as toothbrushes, water bottles with mouthpieces, or similar items that have been opened or used
  • Customised or personalised products made to your specifications
  • Hazardous materials or items with safety seals that have been broken
  • Digital products or downloadable content
  • Items marked as Final Sale or Non-Returnable on the product page at the time of purchase
  • Bundled or combo products where individual items have been separated or partially used
  • Gift cards

8. Return Shipping Costs

We want to be completely transparent about who pays for return shipping.

Product description error on our part Free — we arrange and pay for pickup

Self-ship option: If you choose to self-ship your return rather than use our pickup service, please use a trackable courier service and share the tracking details with us. GruhStore is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit if you choose to self-ship. We recommend insuring high-value items.


9. Cancellations

Before dispatch: You may cancel your order any time before it is dispatched by emailing us at contactgruhstore@gmail.com. A full refund will be issued within 7 business days.

After dispatch: Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. Please wait for delivery and then raise a return request if needed.

For COD orders: Please do not refuse delivery of a COD order without contacting us first. Refused COD deliveries result in return shipping costs being borne by the customer and may affect your ability to place future COD orders with us.


10. Warranty Claims

Some products sold on GruhStore come with a manufacturer warranty. Warranty terms vary by brand and product and are stated on the product page where applicable.

For warranty claims beyond our 7-day return window:

  • Contact the manufacturer directly using the warranty card included with your product, or
  • Email us at contactgruhstore@gmail.com with your order details and we will do our best to assist you in reaching the right support channel

11. Consumer Rights Under Indian Law

As a customer in India, you are protected under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. In addition to our store policy, you have the right to:

  • File a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline at 1800-11-4000 (toll-free)
  • Approach your District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission for unresolved disputes
  • Lodge a complaint on the Consumer App or at consumerhelpline.gov.in
